ABOUT US

UKRAINIAN
HOUSE IN LATVIA

We believe that together we are able not only to preserve our culture, but also to build strong bridges of friendship between Ukraine and Latvia. We invite you to join our center and become part of this big family!

"Ukrainian House in Latvia" is a place where every Ukrainian can find support, inspiration, and community.

“Ukrainian House in Latvia” is a unique space created in July 2023 under the coordination of the Embassy of Ukraine with the aim of uniting the Ukrainian community in Latvia and supporting its cultural, educational and humanitarian needs. Thanks to the Embassy’s assistance, the organization received the status of a public benefit organization in August 2023, and in November of the same year, the Government of Latvia transferred a building in the heart of Riga – at Strugu Street 4 – for our use. Today, the Ukrainian House is a center where Ukrainians can feel at home, preserving their identity and traditions far from their homeland.

Our mission is to create a Ukrainian-speaking environment that supports both those who have just arrived in Latvia and those who have been living here for a long time. The Ukrainian House hosts a variety of events: from concerts and exhibitions to master classes and thematic meetings. We organize classes for children and adults, provide humanitarian aid, and promote the integration of Ukrainians into Latvian society, while maintaining a connection with their native culture.

Ukrainian House in Latvia

We strive to be not just a cultural center, but also a reliable support for every Ukrainian, providing opportunities for development, self-expression, and psychological rehabilitation.

By 2026, we plan to expand our activities, focusing on such priorities as organizing children’s and adult clubs, developing PLAST in Latvia, Ukrainian culture classes, psychological rehabilitation, Latvian language courses, as well as providing legal and consulting support for employment. We pay special attention to spiritual mentoring through cooperation with a priest of the UGCC in Riga and thematic meetings for the older generation.
